Vernon Smith Awarded Nobel Prize in Economics

The Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences has awarded the Bank of Sweden Prize in Economic Sciences in Memory of Alfred Nobel - the Nobel Prize in Economics - to George Mason University professor Vernon Smith for his contributions to the economic sciences. Vernon is sharing the prize with economic behaviorialist Professor Daniel Kahneman of Princeton University.

Vernon Smith and his six colleagues came to George Mason University last year with private support from the Charles G. Koch Foundation.
