The Experimental Economics Summer Program is designed for undergraduate students. The curriculum aims to teach students how game theory and experimental economics can be combined to inform our understanding of human decision-making and affect research in applied fields. This course employs a combination of hands-on learning about decision-making processes through the use of experimental methods and also includes roundtable discussions of readings. Topics include, but are not limited to, Behavioral and Social Welfare Economics, Behavioral and Human Evolution, Behavioral and Market Development, and Behavioral Economics in Labor Markets.

Professor of Economics and Director of ICES Daniel Houser has a new paper in the latest issue of the journal Experimental Economics.
The article, “What You Don’t Know Won’t Hurt You: A Laboratory Analysis of Betrayal Aversion” (abstract), was co-authored with Professor Jason Aimone, a former ICES graduate student and currently a Post-Doctoral Associate at the Virginia Tech Carilion Research Institute (VTCRI) and an Assistant Professor in the Department of Economics at Baylor University.
